Terms of use

Psst Back (“Psst”) · Effective 25 September 2026

By using Psst you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Where the two differ, these terms apply to our service, and Apple's agreement applies to the app licence.

Who can use Psst

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age required where you live. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

How Psst works

You connect only with people who accept your invite, and they connect only if you accept theirs. A Psst is a small signal. Psst doesn't guarantee that a notification is delivered or shown at any particular time; that depends on the other person's phone, settings and network.

Be kind

Don't use Psst to harass, threaten, stalk or spam anyone, to impersonate someone, or with a display name that is hateful, sexual or abusive. Don't try to get around blocks, rate limits or other safety features, or to access other people's accounts or our systems. We may rename, limit or remove accounts that break these rules, and we review reports.

Your account

Your account is anonymous and tied to your phone. If you delete the app or change phones without keeping its data, you may lose access. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Psst+

Psst+ is an optional one-time purchase through Apple that unlocks personal extras (colours, app icons, whisper sounds, and features we add to it). Pssting, replies and invites are always free. Purchases, refunds and restores are handled by Apple under its terms; use Restore purchase in the app on a new phone. Features may change over time, but we won't take away something you paid for without a replacement or a way to get your money back through Apple.

Changes and availability

We may update Psst, change or stop features, or update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll say so in the app or on this page. We do our best to keep Psst running, but it's provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed or delayed Pssts. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
